The most challenging thing for me lately has been simplifying my life. I have 4 kids in a school that doesn't serve lunch at school. So, I need to have something on hand to feed them that all four will touch with a ten foot pole. This is a bigger deal than you might think. Two of them will eat most things, and One of them will eat next to nothing. Only White food and stuff that has no veggies or fruit. Strange dilemma, eh?
So I was brain storming last night and asked my girls to make bread dough. I got together the leftovers in the fridge and set to work making some roll ups. Not a calzone, with takes a little more expertise, but a roll up that they could easily do with a little visual help and then they could go to work. It was a huge, huge hit!! Yea. That way I can kill two birds with one stone. They make it themselves, so they will eat it and not through it out or trade it away or worse, not eat at all.
So, Ham and cheese roll ups, Pepperoni and mozzarella cheese roll ups. but I also think spaghetti sauce and mozzarella cheese, or leftover taco stuff would be really yummy. One child suggested cheesy potatoes but I think that would be carb over kill. Do any of you have some interesting Ideas? I think chicken and cream cheese, with onion or mushroom, or olive would be yummy as well.

What is going on...............alot!!!!
Well, It has been a few months since I added anything to my blog. We have been going about ten miles a minute. When my brother and his wife seemed so busy when their kids became teenagers I didn't really understand. Now, I think that if my life is all in the car with them at this age, how will it me a few months or a couple of years from now. I'll just pull a Scarlet O'Hara and think about that tomorrow if you know what I mean.
Lets see, I know that jamie was getting her new braces the last time I checked in and a couple of weeks ago she was getting them off and getting a retainer, but she had an accident and fell on her jaw and pushed all of her teeth and her braces up into the roof of her mouth and had a concussion. It was the worst thing I have ever seen. A few dozen doctors and xrays later we have her under control and we are pleased with the results. I think she has show her faith. She was praying from the minute it happened until we got to the hospital and orthodontist. What a brave little girl. All with nothing for the pain. She puts me to shame.
Jill is going on a choir trip to Disney land in a few weeks and I am so excited for her. She is going to have so much fun. She has never been and she will be singing and performing while she is there. They also have some classes with some professional dancers and singers and choreographers while they are there. It will be such a great time for her. I think that she will be glad she went.
Josh finally finished his first class and got his swimming merit badge. We are so proud of him!!!! He has never had a lesson and he tried so hard to accomplish this. He already has all of his merit badges for star and he just has the six hours of service for that. I have a few Ideas to help him with that. Josh and Jenna have been getting up at four in the morning to clean horse stalls for these show horses and groom them. I think it has been great for them. They trade the work for riding lessons. I thought it would be hard and maybe they would give up, but it is just the opposite, they love it and wouldn't trade it for anything. Josh keeps after me to let him go to Scottsdale for two weeks and groom for his boss for the horse shows. He will be able to go to some but not during school. He is a little ticked about that, but will get over it.
Joy is so funny. She is loving activity days and being a big kid now. She is a little tired of little brother at the moment and he waits by the door for her to get home. It has made for some interesting discussions. I hope she sees how much he looks up to her. Most of the time she is such a good friend. She is super social though and girls are cool and boys have cooties at the moment unless you are one of her crushes of the moment like the Jonas brothers............ Oh brother!!!!!!
Jared is doing great and we love him to pieces. He is so outgoing and makes friends where ever he goes. He can speak really well now and we are so glad he is learning fast and loving school. He is a little sick of being home with just mom though and we are always thinking of ways to entertain and help him pass the time til the clan gets home and caous ensues.
John is really doing well in school and Graduates with his Bachelors Degree on May 2nd and I can't wait to see him get his diploma. I am so proud of him and all his hard work. He is doing well at his Job and He is busy in his calling for the bishop. He throws himself 100 percent into what ever he does and never stops til bed time. He is a servaholic I think sometimes. He doesn't know the word no. But that is what made me love him and become his best friend to begin with. It was his big heart.
Well I hope that catches all Y'all up on whats up with us. Love ya ,

Jamie's New Grill
It has been a long time since I last blogged. I have done a lot since then. Today though was the highlight. Jamie got new braces!!!!!! She is sure that she is the luckiest, most beautiful kid on earth. I think so too!! I love her outlook on life. She got hot pink and lime green rubber bands. She wanted sparkle wires and all sorts of bling. It is a major grill. I love it.
Pictures to come soon.

24th of July.............Wow what a busy day!!!!!
wow we had fun on the 24th. wish you all were there. My mother had a Briggs family reunion at her home in Bountiful and we had a blast...pictures to follow. We slept in and then got up and went up there at about 2....so nice. We never sleep in. and then we had a BBQ, but I think that the most fun was just shooting the breeze with my brothers and sisters and mom. We don't get together all together so much any more. There were a few noticable people missing, But Disney land and New babies are a good enough reason to miss. We missed them though. Fire works were fun and eventful. Scotty, my brother in law was lighting on fire any thing he could get his hands on and my kids were right there with him. He had Jared with a lighter in his hand lighting off the big fountains by himself. i don't know if he will ever be the same. He wanted to go home with Scotty. No wonder... He is the funnest friend ever!!!!! Well, got to go. love to you all.

I found the most Amazing new product!!!!!!!!
Well, I have found the most awesome product. In fact I wish, wish, wish that I had found it sixteen years ago when I was deciding weather or not I should have a gastric bypass. Now, I don't regret that I had that because I lost over a hundred pounds. But....this product is like a gastric bypass without the surgery. I was a little bit sceptical when I first heard that there was a product that could make you feel full like a gastric bypass but that you're body would pass it through easily and it was easy to take and worked virtually immediately. You have the control, you don't have is administered surgically and you can be full if you want and not take it if you are having Thanksgiving or something. I have to say that I haven't felt the same since I made that irreversable choice all those years ago. I do have to say that I have kept off more that a hundred lbs. for more than sixteen years and in that respect it has been successful. But like so many others I have had a harder time getting the rest of the way down. I think that this is the answer. It is called FORM and FIXX. It was developed by a doctor and he has had trials and proven its success. Heather from Bountiful who was on the biggest loser is on it and she is a friend of my brothers who is in the medical profession up at the U OF U Hospital. They got together with the Man who invented this and they are coming out with it in 11 countries all over the world in a couple of weeks. I want you all to see this work. It is something I can demonstrate for you and is for all people who want to lose weight. Not just the ones who want to lose a lot of weight. If you want to fit into that swim suit or just want to get of that extra 20 or so pounds from after the baby that we all end up with this will help you control what you eat. It is a portion control that is absolute. you have no choice once you take it. You can't eat more for 3 or 4 hours. Imagine if you were a night time snacker. You take one, drink 8 oz of water and you aren't hungry for 3 to 4 hours. You just enjoy you're evening feeling full and have something else to do or think about. I am so excited!!!!!! We need to talk.

Fun visits with friends on Sunday
Well, Karen stopped by on sunday to give Jared his missed sunday handout, (such a good teacher) and she and the kids stayed and played and ate popcorn for a while. Just for the record, if any of you come over on Sunday night, that is the price you pay. While the kids found out that we watered on accident on sunday night and decided to take full advantage of the fact and run through it and get really wet, Dilley and her family walked by and stopped to talk. I think a fun time was had by all. I released them from captivity after a bit, but I have to say Sunday was the first time I felt like I lived in a neighborhood. Ya know?!!!
Thanks, Julie
